The Lupus Recovery Diet

An “insider” shortcut guide to getting rid of lupus so that you can live a normal life again, pain free, without dangerous drugs… by simple and inexpensive diet changes, not expensive supplements or products.
Hello,
My name is Jill Harrington, and
I recovered from systemic lupus over
thirteen years ago... by changing the foods I eat.
Eventually after years of being lupus free,
I decided to write a book and share my story with you.
You have
probably been told that you must live with lupus for the rest of your life.
Unfortunately, traditional treatments involve toxic medications that cause
severe and potentially damaging side effects. No wonder you are discouraged.
I understand
exactly what you are going through, because I, too, had lupus.
I was really sick...

I made changes to my diet a little over a week ago, and have
started feeling results already. I have lost most of my muscle and
joint pain. I used to feel it all day, now I only feel a little stiff
and achy in the morning. Once I am on my morning walk, the stiffness
is gone for the rest of the day. Also, the butterfly rash on my face
has faded.
Just eleven days after starting the diet I can open jars of baby food, and I have so much energy! I am soooo happy!! I played with my children today and I am crying tears of joy right now. This diet worked for me after six months of Cytoxan several different medications and three years of Prednisone with side effects. I am so thrilled to be able to type an email without frequent breaks. Love to all. Jennie Stansel Alaska

What is in this Book?
The book contains 212 pages, consisting of:
Retreat
Centers where You can go for personalized help
The Lupus Recovery Diet
gives you a practical program of diet, exercise, and sleep; research studies
that show a significant connection between diet and autoimmune diseases,
details of a program that works, delicious recipes and resources for finding
doctors and practitioners who understand the dietary approach to autoimmune
disease.
First,
this information gives you hope. I’m
not the only person who has recovered from lupus using this dietary approach.
You'll
read about 17-year old Vanessa, who had serious kidney trouble stemming from
lupus. After changing her diet, her kidneys went from stage four back to an
almost normal stage one.
You'll also read about Deborah, whose
discoid lupus disappeared completely in just six weeks, once she began
treating her lupus by changing her diet.
And there's Diane. Diane,
diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age 35, had been trying to get
pregnant for six years. She didn’t want to take Methotrexate because she
still wanted to become pregnant.
Instead she followed the same program
outlined in The Lupus Recovery Diet. Ten months later, her health
restored, she became pregnant for the first time. Today, she's the healthy
mother of four children!
In
Section One of The Lupus Recovery Diet you’ll read more stories like
these. These people applied the principles outlined in this book -- and
changed the course of their lives.
In
Section Two, you’ll learn about:
In
Section Three, you’ll learn all the
details of the program –
Section Six is a cookbook, with menu ideas and recipes. The recipes use ordinary, inexpensive foods that you can get at any grocery store.
Section Seven lists additional resources. There's so much positive, helpful information out there to help you overcome your illness, and I got well because of the work of many outstanding scientists, researchers, and doctors. That's why I've included this section, where you'll find:
If you are feeling that your situation is
hopeless, there’s no reason to feel that way anymore. The Lupus Recovery
Diet gives you what you need to know to take control of your health and
live a normal life again.
You may already have a diagnosis of lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Or maybe you're struggling to get a diagnosis, and have been told that you probably have an autoimmune disease. Or maybe you've been told you have a "lupus like" condition.
The good news is
that this diet and lifestyle is something that can help you now, even
while working with your doctor to get a definite diagnosis.
After reading the recovery stories, the studies, and the clinical
experiences, you will see that diet, exercise, sleep, and stress reduction
can have a dramatic effect on autoimmune disease.

I was diagnosed with
lupus a year ago, and read your book two months ago. I cannot tell
you how much this has changed my life. I love it! The cravings were
difficult at first, but I could tell my diet changes were helping.
My results from following your program have been impressive. My joint pain is noticeably improved. As a bonus, my resting heart rate has lowered from 70 to 55, cholesterol from 210 to 150, blood pressure from 140/80 to 100/75 and I've lost about ten unwanted pounds. This is the easiest "diet" I have ever been on, and these results let me know I am on the right track.

I am reading your book. I am so happy
right now that I have tears in my eyes.
My sixteen-year old daughter had been
hospitalized in August with toxic shock...and then in September
for mononucleosis ...and now here we are in October and the doctors
are finally finding that she most likely has lupus...It looked
like doom and gloom...until I Googled onto your website. This
book is a Godsend. |
Will
this help everyone with Lupus?
Will making dietary changes help everyone overcome lupus? Probably
not. Some people may already be too sick. Your body can become
permanently damaged by long-term inflammation and the long-term side effects of steroids and drugs.
That's why it's so important to get started right away,
and not wait until further damage has been done.
Even if you implement just part of the program, you may see a reduction in
symptoms, that can make your pain and exhaustion bearable.
However, many people have achieved a total absence of symptoms. No more pain. No more fatigue.
Isn't something as simple and natural as diet worth trying?
I've been asked
if the diet is "hard" to do. Living with lupus is hard.
Eating healthy foods is a breeze compared to living with lupus.
Especially once you read the experiences of others and see how they've
gotten their lives back!
Once you read the personal
stories of recovery - and you are inspired to create your own success story
– the details and resources that you need to make it happen are in this
book.
I hope to include your story in the book’s next edition!
